So, it looks like the attack on Joe Rogan is not an organic phenomenon but is, in fact, the byproduct of deliberate action by a Democrat super-PAC, "Meidastouch" through a subsidiary called "Patriot Takes." This is interesting on a number of levels, including the name "Patriot Takes." I have noticed an attempt on the part of Democrats to rebrand as the patriotic party esp. in the wake of Jan 6th and despite their ties to the Chinese communist regime which run deeper than any ties the right may have to Russia---far deeper. Obviously, these little subsidiaries are all about being able to change their branding as they move from one campaign of cancelation to another—or one political campaign to another.
Meidastouch is doing this in an attempt to prove its worth and intimidate people into donating---by showing them that it can "cancel at will." Meidastouch was the subject of a very (justifiably) harsh article by Rolling Stone; they are running low on money, mainstream outlets are questioning the efficacy of their efforts, and they are desperately in need of a win.
Of course, MediasTouch is going onto various podcasts and claiming they are not behind this takedown, but their own twitter history refutes that claim. I urge those reading this article to look for themselves.
An interesting tactic would be for Joe Rogan to make a meaningful donation to them---which would embarrass them or force them to draw attention to themselves by declining it. He needs to draw them into the story so that some negative attention, and not just clout, rebounds against them. He also needs to find a way to sue them as he has much more money than they do.
The king of legend who had the golden touch is spelled Midas. To the person who corrected my spelling, what is worse: My thinking it was a pun on the word media or that they misspelled Midas when they named their organization? I have "corrected" the spelling to their incorrect spelling.
