The Strange Case of Alexander Litvenenko
There are a number of good documentaries covering the murder of Alexander Litvenenko. However, almost all of them fail to mention the full set of accusations he made against Putin and his government. They very, very rarely mention one accusation in particular; indeed, this accusation is likely to come as a surprise to many readers.
An accusation many others have made, that Russia planted bombs in Moscow apartment buildings in a false flag operation meant to justify the second Chechen war.
He accused the FSB of having “arranged” the Moscow theatre hostage crisis.
He claims the FSB is also responsible for the 1999 Armenian parliament shooting.
That Ayman al-Zawahiri was under FSB control when he visited Russia in 1997.
That Putin ordered the assassination of journalist Anna Politkovskaya.
The strangest accusation of all, that Vladimir Putin is a paedophile who was filmed having sex with two young boys in a flat during his student days.
Let’s consider just how strange this accusation is. Here is the text of Litvenenko’s post, made after an unusual incident in which Vladimir Putin kissed the stomach of a young boy as he was doing a walk about outside the Kremlin.
Litvinenko wrote: 'The world public is shocked. Nobody can understand why the Russian president did such a strange thing as kissing the stomach of an unfamiliar small boy.
'The explanation may be found if we look carefully at the so-called "blank spots" in Putin's biography.
'After graduating from the Andropov Institute, which prepares officers for the KGB intelligence service, Putin was not accepted into the foreign intelligence. Instead, he was sent to a junior position in KGB Leningrad Directorate.
'This was a very unusual twist for a career of an Andropov Institute's graduate with fluent German. Why did that happen with Putin?'Because, shortly before his graduation, his bosses learned that Putin was a pedophile [sic]. So say some people who knew Putin as a student at the Institute.
'The Institute officials feared to report this to their own superiors, which would cause an unpleasant investigation. They decided it was easier just to avoid sending Putin abroad under some pretext. Such a solution is not unusual for the secret services.
'Many years later, when Putin became the FSB director and was preparing for the presidency, he began to seek and destroy any compromising materials collected against him by the secret services over earlier years. It was not difficult, provided he himself was the FSB director.
'Among other things, Putin found videotapes in the FSB Internal Security directorate, which showed him making sex with some underage boys.'
Now, almost every documentary you see discussing the case will omit any reference to the above blog post. Why?
Well, one possibility is that by omitting this, they make it seem like the story about the apartment bombings in Moscow are more likely. They essentially leave their audience to assume that that story is the only motive Putin would have had to target him. Journalists might also be concerned about their own personal safety if they were to emphasize this part of the story too much. Chances are, many of you who followed this story were unaware of these accusations.
Whatever the reason, it is almost certainly the case that these remarks are what got Litvenko killed—not the ones about the Moscow apartment building. That said, did they get Litvenko killed because they are true or because they are false.
And while kissing a boy’s belly is a strange thing to do, it pales in comparison to Biden’s unusual behaviour around little girls and female minors. It is also odd that Litvenko, in possession of such a bombshell, waits until Putin engages in this one unusual public act before making this accusation.
My guess, is that the accusation is false, but that it is what got Litvenko killed.
