How many of you have heard of Budykos blanket? I find it curious how--and I do think climate change is both exaggerated and could even be a benefit as it would increase crop yields---no one on the environmentalist side has discussed the possibility of using nuclear power and this very inexpensive innovation to solve "the problem" without major economic change.
Budykos Blanket is the idea that we could mimic the effect---in a controllable and scaleable way---that a volcanic eruption would have on the atmosphere by spraying sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere just as a volcanic eruption does: The main difference would be that we could do it incrementally and scale it to ensure the amount of cooling is just right by adjusting the amount of sulfur dioxide we spray.
I think the answer is that the mentality of the left has changed; we actually have a fight between two kinds of psychologically right wing parties; the cognitive flexibility that used to be the sole saving grace of the left is now only a characteristic of some portions of the two political parties. The left has become the party of the establishment, and this has changed the type of person who joins them.
Budykos Blanket is "scary." Shutting down all of modern industrial civilization, however, is "natural." The opposition is religious---and, I fear, there are entities that see the climate change agenda as a way to achieve other political goals.
Isn't it odd that you have not been told about this technology?
